Our Story

A United Front for Ghana's Cashew Industry

The Association of Cashew Processors Ghana (ACPG) was formed as a united front with the dedicated quest to transform the cashew processing landscape in Ghana. Since our founding, we have committed ourselves to a constitution that serves as the framework for all our rules and regulations, guiding our deliberations and actions. Our goal is to build a robust and internationally recognized processing sector that benefits our members and the nation.

Our Vision

Our vision is two-fold and guides our transformation agenda:

To process good quality cashew kernels by employing Good Manufacturing Practices that will ensure our kernels match any international standard.
To make Cashew the first choice nut and a household name in Ghana.

Our Mission

Our mission is to promote and increase the processing capacity of Ghana through clear policy and strategic direction.

Our Aims & Objectives

To achieve our mission, the ACPG is focused on the following core aims and objectives:

Foster Business Relationships:
Establishing strong inter-company business relationships among our members.
Access Top-Tier Equipment:
Facilitating access to top-class processing equipment, targeted at increasing efficiency and reducing the cost of production for our members.
Increase Local Processing:
Actively working to increase participation in the first stage of processing (De-shelling) within Ghana.
Champion Policy & Advocacy:
Playing a key advocacy role and lobbying for policy and regulatory reforms that will promote the processing sector of the cashew industry in Ghana.

Support Crucial Research:
Supporting and fostering research that is beneficial to the processing sector of the cashew industry in Ghana.
Cooperate in Marketing:
Uniting our members to cooperate in the marketing of their products, both locally and overseas.
Engage Actively:
To participate actively and aggressively in all activities of the association and make our opinion count in all decision making.

Our Governance

The ACPG is run by a dedicated governing body known as The General Council, which oversees the day-to-day running of the Association and implements its policies. The General Council is tasked with appointing committees, making bye-laws for the efficient running of the ACPG, and safeguarding the integrity of the Association.
