The Ghana Private Sector Competitiveness Programme (GPSP) Phase II, in collaboration with Usibras Ghana Limited and the University of Cape Coast (UCC), organised a specialised training programme for cashew processors as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen Ghana’s cashew value chain.
The training focused on enhancing participants’ technical knowledge and practical skills in key areas, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), commercial management, cost efficiency, quality control, defect identification, machine operations, and troubleshooting.
This initiative aims to improve processing efficiency, promote food safety and product quality, reduce operational losses, and strengthen the competitiveness and sustainability of Ghana’s cashew processing industry.
Through such capacity-building initiatives, stakeholders continue to work towards a more efficient, resilient, and competitive cashew value chain in Ghana
